Approximately 1 km from Lastovo's centre is the locally famous beach Mihajla. The pier features an old olive oil mill next to a volley ball court perfect for working up a sweat before jumping off the pier into the sea. Located next the entrance of the pier is café 'Mihajla', perfect for a coffee after a morning swim, refreshing drinks throughout the day or an ice-cream to watch the sunset. The shore allows for an easy access into the water with minimal shade.
Lučica Cove is situated approximately 1 km from Lastovo's centre. It was originally a small fishing village and its old charm is still present today. The houses provide shade both in the morning and afternoon and the swimming area is conveniently unshaded. It is a popular location for young families with an easy walk-in access into the sea and for all who love to dive into the sea from the pier or climb in on the provided ladders.
Zace is a cove located on the north-east side of the island. Sea shoes are recommended on entering the sea via its small pebbled unshaded shore. Zace Cove is suitable for families, the elderly and couples looking for a romantic and secluded spot.
Barje Cove can be reached by car or bike on an asphalted road. It is a remarkably scenic route that takes you through heavenly vineyards and olive groves and ends with approximately 200 meters of a macadam road leading to the seaside parking. Its two houses offer shade and its pier, which onlooks some of the smaller islands of the archipelago, provides access to the sea. It is perfect for all who desire a private, quiet and peaceful escape to the sea.

Mjesto Lastovo staro je srednjovjekovno naselje amfiteatralnog oblika s dugom i zanimljivom poviješću. Jedino je naselje na otoku koje se ne nalazi neposredno uz more. Okruženo je brdima, a na svakom od njih je vidikovac s kojeg se pruža pogled na mjesto i okolna polja. Obiteljske kuće iz 15. i 16. stoljeća krase lastovski “sulari” (terase) i bogato ukrašeni “fumari” (dimnjaci) koji su postali zaštitni znak Lastova. Lastovske skalinade (kamene stepenice) obavijaju staru jezgru oko crkve i šire se te obogaćuju poseban mediteranski ugođaj.

We have two ATM mashines on the island; near Splitska banka in Lastovo and in Port near Jadrolinija’s office.
2. Where is a gas station ???
In port Ubli.
3. Is there a pharmacy on the island ???
We have a basic supply of medicines in pharmacy which is working only 1 hour a day, from 13-14 hours,every day except Sunday and holiday. For emergency there is attending doctor on guard.
4. Why is Lastovo town not on the sea ???
Because of the defense purposes it was build on mainland. In the past Lastovo was often attacked by pirates from the sea and for defense purposes local people built their settlements on the hill.
5. Can we by some basic swimming equipment on Lastovo ???
We have two small local shops ( one near Tourist office and another near bank) with basic swimming accessories like mask, swim wear, madras etc.
6. Can we pay with Euro and credit cards in the shops and restaurants ??
In most of the shops and restaurants You can pay with credit card. Euro is not accepted.
7.Where we can by the tickets for the ferry and can we reserve a ticket ????
Tickets can be bought in Jadrolinija’s office in Ubli or on line, and there is no reservations possible.
